Real Women meets for Bible Study in semesters in the Fall, Winter and Spring. The semesters are usually 6-8 weeks. On semester nights we usually have light food, connection opportunities, worship, large group and small group within the two hours we meet. We welcome women from other churches that may not have a women's ministry, just yet. And women from the community that don't have a church home as well.
This happens on Wednesdays, at our Cabot and Sherwood campuses, 6pm-8pm. We offer a Children's program for Newborn-5th grade and a Student program for 6th-12th grades during this time.
Real Women also sponsors large events where women can gather and bring friends with them. We recently hosted Ruth Graham, Billy Graham's daughter, as a guest speaker for our first "Get Real Event". These happen about three times a year.
When you come to Real Women semester nights, you become part of a small group of women for that semester. These ladies share time together in group, get to know each other and do fun things outside of group times as well. It's a great opportunity to make friends! You can even pick your Group facilitator each semester to find someone who matches your current life situation the best. The names and bios for each semester will show up here. Choose your group facilitator here, then show up the first night of the semester to get plugged in to her group.
"I've never really liked women's ministry that much." Stacey Harness (Real Women Leader)
It's true! I always thought women's ministry was about cooking dinners (I don't cook), making quilts ( well you know), or reading long Bible studies that I couldn't understand. To be honest, I ran from women who looked like they had it all together because they intimidated me. I was afraid, even if I did join in, that it would lead to conflict, gossip, back-biting, and honestly, comparison. It was safer just to stay away and live in my own little world. But it was lonely. And my life wasn't changing like I knew God could do.
But then, God changed my heart.
Yep, God gave me a vision of what women's ministry could be like. A ministry where women could take off our masks and just be real about our issues and problems. A place where women could look to God's Word to heal our everyday hurts and hangups. A place where our relationship with God and each other could be cultivated that would make real life change.
Would you like to be REAL with me?
You are wanted, you are needed, you are invited!

Real Women believe in servant leadership. We believe that as the church, we should be serving and loving people every day. For those of us who attend That.Church, we come together to serve and fill the needs of the church. If you are not a part of That.Church on the weekend, we will encourage and equip you to serve and lead within your church home. We want to make Him known, however that looks!
Real Women wants to serve our community in a tangible way. We have partnered with The Call and Project Zero in order to help place waiting children in forever homes. The need is greater than it has ever been. We pray for individual children and for forever families as well as gather needed items. We provide encouragement for families in the process of fostering or adopting. We love on kids and foster/adoptive families through helping with events that the organizations host.
This is our Real Women project.
