WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT:
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
God has existed always. He has no beginning and no end. He is one yet He operates in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator and author of all things, and supreme ruler of the universe. The ultimate end of all things will happen exactly according to what He has planned.
He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, trustworthy, and Holy. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
Jesus Christ is God and has always existed. He became a human so that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. On Earth He was completely human, and He was completely God. At His human birth He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a perfect, sinless life and by His example He revealed to us truth, life and the way to eternal life with God. He was falsely accused, punished, and crucified for our sin. He became our substitute and took God’s wrath on our behalf. Once He was dead His body was taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb. On the third day Jesus Christ rose from the dead, literally, and physically. He appeared to Peter, the disciples, and more than 500 witnesses. The Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest. He fulfills the ministry as our Representative, Intercessor and Advocate. On a date unannounced Jesus Christ is coming again to receive His church and after He will return to judge, the living and the dead.
God is present with us and in us. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. Once we are believers He acts as Counselor, Interpreter, and Empowering of God in our lives. Eternity Forever and ever Amen.
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life (Heaven). Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. Man Made in God’s image. Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God, but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort.
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
The church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
